CETL promotes action research-led teaching that activates students’ commitment to inquiry and brings faculty expertise to life. Quality teaching & Learning is a fundamental core value of CETL. To ensure the quality of teaching and learning, CETL initiates field level or classroom related research activities. The faculty members who are interested in a particular topic related to the CETL research arena can work on research projects.

The first CETL research was conducted in 2015 on application of ICT at tertiary level education jointly funded by Fakir Memorial Foundation and Ministry of Social Welfare, Bangladesh. Two international and peer reviewed journal publications were done from the project. Recently, CETL has applied for two funded research projects on contemporary teaching and learning practices in higher education.
