CETL involves four major programs:

(ii) Certificate Courses

(iii) Trainings

All the fundamental and basic courses of general education are taken, such as Bangladesh Studies, Ethics, Ethics and Environmental Protections, Introduction to Psychology course, Basic Math and Physics etc.

Certificate Courses

It is a mandatory requirement for the fresher teachers at GUB. Since 2014 Fall Semester CETL has taken this course for strengthening teaching and learning capacity of teachers and follows up their achieved learning from demonstrated workshops throughout the semester. Co-teaching approach is followed for conducting this course.

Trainings at CETL

Capacity development is a major function of CETL. Ensuring continuous developments of skills, capacities, competences and professional techniques of all the stakeholders of GUB, CETL organizes several workshops and training workshops and events. A conceptual framework on capacity development of faculty members and nonacademic staff has been shown in the next page.

All the training events and workshops are required to be planned, designed, implemented and evaluated based on this framework.  Team work approach is followed for planning, designing, implementing and evaluating any workshops, training and events under the supervision of CETL coordinator and advisor.
