Dr. ASM Shihavuddin

Director, CETL

Dr. ASM Shihavuddin is renowned for his contributions in the fields of Computer Vision and Deep Learning. He worked as an Assistant Professor at DTU compute, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Denmark. He previously worked in the same department as a postdoctoral researcher. Currently, he is the chairperson of EEE department and the director of CETL.

Hasan Al Zubayer Rony

Assistant Professor, CETL

Hasan is the Assistant Professor of Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL), Green University of Bangladesh (GUB). He has simultaneously completed his flying training from Arirang Flying School and Graduation (2014) and post-Graduation (2015) from the Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka.

His area of concern in the academic arena is Science Mathematics and Technology Education (SMTE). Now he focused on the technology education of Bangladesh by developing online training programs for the faculty members and students of higher education. He is also the core skills trainer of the British Council where he facilitates the teacher of Connecting classroom program. As a pilot and academician, he has completed multiple aviation research which mainly focused on aviation education and training.

Hasan is a leadership graduate from Bangladesh Youth Leadership Centre (BYLC). He is also a facilitator of leadership programs in Bangladesh. He is affiliated with various social organizations.

Arifa Rahman
Assistant Professor, CETL (On Study Leave)

Arifa Rahman, Assistant Professor, at Green Business School, is one of the founding members and Lead Facilitators of CETL and is currently on leave to pursue her Ph.D. at Charles Sturt University, Australia. Her major research areas are educational technology, blended education, inclusive education and development, emotional intelligence, and cognition. She began her career as a lecturer at BRAC University in 2010. She has completed her second Master of Education at Flinders University after obtaining a Master of Education and Bachelor of Science Education from the Institute of Education and Research, University
of Dhaka.

 

Noshin Afroz

Lecturer, CETL

Noshin Afroz is a Lecturer at the Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL) who joined on 3rd April 2023. She received her Bachelor of Education degree from the Institute of Education and Research, University of Dhaka in 2019, and her Master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the same institute in 2020. Noshin previously served as an adjunct Lecturer at Prime University in Mazar Road, Mirpur-1, Dhaka.

Noshin has received a general scholarship from the University of Dhaka for her outstanding Bachelor of Education result and the Talent-pool scholarship from Sufia Kamal Hall Trust Fund, University of Dhaka for her excellent Master’s result. Her academic achievements have also invited her to the prestigious VC Tea Party.

Noshin’s research interests include Education, Language Education, and Research.

Sanzeeda Munir Prova

Lecturer, CETL

Sanzeeda Munir Prova is working as a lecturer at the Green University of Bangladesh. She is also working as a facilitator at the Centre of Excellence for Teaching and Learning. She has completed her post-graduation from Educational Psychology and Guidance (EPG) from the University of Dhaka. She has also completed her graduation from Science Education at the University of Dhaka.

Mst. Farhana Khatun
Lecturer, CETL

Mst. Farhana Khatun, a lecturer at the Green University of Bangladesh with diverse skills and experiences. She is a dedicated Psychosocial Counselor at Green University Counseling Unit and also serves as a Coordinator at the Green University Center for International Affairs (GCiA). With prior experience as a Counselor at the Center for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP).

Mst. Farhana Khatun holds a Master of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, both from the Department of Psychology, University of Dhaka.

Psychosocial Counselor provides services and psychological support to help the GUB members deal with and overcome psychosocial problems encountered in their daily lives to move ahead with routine activities and to stay free from stress & worries. Helps to do work-life balance. Provides psychological services to help the students, staff, and faculty to deal with various emotional, psychological, social academic, and personal issues to live a healthy and functioning life.

She is available at CC on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM. And at PC on Tuesday and Thursday from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM. At PC on Tuesday and Thursday (Room No 402).
